The Department of Geoscience invites you to join us!
Department Open House
(there’s no football game)
Tuesday, May 19
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Weeks Hall, 1215 W. Dayton St., Madison
The 2015 GSA North Central Section Meeting will be held at the Monona Terrace in Madison May 19-20, 2015 just in time for warm nights on the Terrace and fresh Babcock ice cream! This annual conference involves two days of technical sessions at Monona Terrace, with optional field trips before and after the meeting, and kicks off on Monday, May 18th with field trips zigzagging across Southern Wisconsin, followed by an evening reception at Monona Terrace. On Tuesday, May 19th, attendees are invited to Weeks Hall to enjoy brats and cheese curds (only the squeakiest!) at a “traditional tailgate dinner”, while checking out the Geology Museum, library, and laboratories during the Open House. Further field trips include day ventures to the Wisconsin River Valley and local technical sites, and an overnight trek to lovely Door County. We hope alumni will join us for Weeks Hall open house and tailgate party.
