The School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) and the Asian School of the Environment (ASE) invite applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in Mathematics of Earth Sciences.  The primary appointment will be in the Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) in SPMS, with a joint appointment in ASE.  We are looking for candidates with Ph.D. degrees in Applied Mathematics, Statistics or closely related fields who will contribute to the collaboration between ASE and MAS.  We are specifically looking for expertise in the following areas:
Bayesian Statistics
Uncertainty Quantification
PDE Modelling
Experience with interdisciplinary projects is a prerequisite. Successful applicants are expected to maintain an active research program, supervise graduate students and to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Salary and benefits are internationally competitive.
