At the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America (GSA), Scientist Brian Jicha was inducted as a GSA Fellow. Brian was nominated by colleagues Mike Garcia, Terry Plank, and Matt Heizler. For the award citation, Mike Garcia writes, “Brian Jicha is recognized as an international leader in geochronology of a wide variety of Earth’s processes including arc volcanism, landscape evolution, and hotspot migration. He has provided access to geochronologic data to hundreds of scientists and students from around the globe for more than two decades, and has devoted countless hours to several GSA-sponsored programs as a reviewer.” Congratulations, Brian, on this well deserved award!
