The American Association of Petroleum Geologists seeks to foster scientific research, to advance the science of geology, to promote technology, and to inspire high professional conduct.
The UW–Madison student chapter of AAPG meets monthly for social and professional development events. The chapter also regularly sponsors an Imperial Barrel (IBA) team.
