Association for Women Geoscientists

The Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG) is an international organization devoted to enhancing the quality and level of participation of women in geosciences and to introduce girls and young women to geoscience careers. The AWG-UW Madison chapter has three main tenets:

  1. community building
  2. interdisciplinary interaction and
  3. public outreach.

Each year we host a number of events, meetings, and volunteer opportunities to reach these goals including departmental headshots, student camping trips, career and graduate school panels, and more!

We welcome all graduate and undergraduate earth science students, of all gender identities, to participate in our meetings and events.
